Philippe Starck is the poster-boy of design excess and has launched his own interpretation of home gym equipment at the Milan design expo 09. The project, "Home Gym Office" is an attempt to integrate gym equipment into an office environment. It's a decent premise, but his statement about the work sets the alarm bells ringing:

That's exactly what i was thinking.....
Granted, the equipment is very 'designy', whilst being practical at the same time. I think these would make a perfect statement in any ultimate 'high end' home gym.
